What to Expect as a Lively Bride

Wedding Planning Resources - Wording Guide

I remember feeling lost while wedding planning. It was my first time planning any event, let alone the “biggest day of my life,” and the pressure was on. It seemed like every time I reached out to a vendor I was asking “how do I do this?” or “how do I find out what I don’t know that I need to know?”

Confusing right?

When I was thinking about Lively Letter Co, my first thought was that I wanted this business to take away from the stress of planning a wedding, not add to it. That’s why we made a simple three-step process for wedding stationery. Here’s a more in-depth look at what you can expect as a Lively Bride.

First, we will have an initial consultation

We’ll meet (either in person over coffee (on us!) or over phone or email) so we can get to know you and what you have planned for your wedding. We’ll talk about the timeline, information, wording, colors, inspiration and desired design. You will also receive resources, like our free wording guide, and we can even suggest other vendors you may still be trying to find. Together we’ll go over all the details up front so we can get you an accurate quote and avoid endless email chains. Not sure what you need to know beforehand? No worries!

Here’s what you should have an idea of before this consultation.

Want a sneak peek about what we’ll talk about? Our favorite question to ask is if there’s any special details we can include on your stationery. Things like a symbol of how he proposed, a meaningful phrase to your relationship or maybe your favorite flowers. It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in a custom design or one of our ready-to-go suites – your stationery should be personal and uniquely yours!

Once you’re ready to book, we require a 50% deposit and signed contract. This guarantees your spot on our calendar and serves to protect your investment.

Second, we will create your invitation suite and we will keep designing until you love it!

After the consultation you don’t have a thing to worry about until we send over your design preview! Once you see your design you can then request any changes to be made. We usually get it perfect with one or two tweaks, but we will keep designing until you’re in love! If you’d like to see a physical proof, we can request one from our printer for $25 so you can be absolutely sure the colors, paper and details are exactly what you want. You can also use this to weigh your invitation and make sure you won’t need extra postage.

Last, we will request your final approval of the design and send it to the printers!

You won’t have to deal with files, printing, shipping or anything – we take care of all of that so there’s nothing to worry about! Digital printing takes up to one week plus standard shipping time, while specialty printing like foiling can take two or three weeks plus shipping (but we’ll be sure to get the files to the printer with plenty time to spare). After printing we’ll check back in to ensure everything turned out well and to see if we can help in any other way!

That’s it! Our goal through this entire process is to make sure you’re happy and informed, and that you get swoon-worthy invitations without any stress. We understand you have so many decisions to make when wedding planning so we want to maximize your time and efforts to get you the wedding you’ve been dreaming of.
